How ten websites attracted 11,449 visits and recorded 740 contacts

How ten sites got traffic and enquiries without an ad budget: which pages captured search, what AI assistants added and how long it took.

Over five months we tracked search, direct visits and referrals across ten websites. The report recorded just one visit from advertising. Here’s how traffic grew and which pages prompted visitors to get in touch.

Growth by month

Monthly visits rose from 111 in June to 487 in July, 1,506 in August, 3,803 in September and 5,185 by 28 October. That last figure was roughly 47 times June’s total. These are historical figures for this group of sites.

What brought traffic

  • Answers to common buyer questions, backed by prices, quantities or measurements.
  • Dedicated pages for specific buyer questions, products and delivery areas.
  • Crawlable HTML, quick-loading pages, structured data and sitemaps helped make those pages accessible. We also submitted updated URLs through IndexNow.

What brought enquiries

  • Pages for a specific product and delivery area recorded contact rates of 16–25%, compared with about 2% for articles.
  • AI assistants sent few visits, but 30% of those visits triggered a contact goal.
  • Call and messenger buttons visible on a phone.
