How international buyers find and check suppliers

How procurement teams use search, AI assistants and industry directories to find and verify an export supplier.

A buyer in Türkiye, the UAE or Uzbekistan may discover a supplier through Google, an AI assistant or an industry directory. The site has to answer the questions that arise during that search.

Use the product names buyers search for

Start with the names buyers use for the product, its specification and the delivery destination. An English catalogue helps, but a buyer searching in Turkish or Arabic may use different terms.

What might a buyer ask an AI assistant?

A buyer might ask who supplies a particular product to their country. Make the answer verifiable with specifications, delivery terms and useful HTML pages. In our Wordstat data, the Russian query about promotion in AI assistants rose from 229 impressions in September 2025 to 735 in September 2026.

How do buyers check a supplier?

Show a real address, company details, delivery terms and completed projects. Keep these details consistent in industry directories and link each listing to the relevant product page.

What to measure

Create separate pages for each product, use and destination. Set up contact goals and record the landing page with each enquiry. That shows which searches bring buyers who actually get in touch.
